found another problem because the lifters were all over the board had to run a key way lifter that only cost 2200$ but because kent ritter can not drill a hoe to save his life. the oil galleys that he drilled right through the center of the lifter boar is a 1/2in to high the keyed bushing can not be pressed in all the way.. because the slot will inter in to the oil galley which would cause 16 oil leaks..so that been said CAM FX is going to make a custom $$$$$$$$ key way lifter.`400 LONG. and that is 400 longer than a sbf lifter which is something like 250 longer that a standard mopar lifter do the math 650long the lifters kent ritter sold me are 650thou to short what a dummy..

That block sounds like a nightmare I would stay away way away

whitedart those lifter busshings go in different than a r5 do,look real close @ where the oil holes are, if you get that far & need a diagram let me know, john, getting real close on our xr-2, minachne shop just had to finish bushings & finish cutting deck height, but heads & intake not ready anyway

this block is different than yours this is the new style.. he drill the oil galley right threw the center of the lifer boar. like a chevy but he drilled it a 1/2in to high I will try to get some pics

Whats the cost of a new Ritter block compared to a new R block

I'm very confused as to why one of these is not running as well. There are many competent engine/machine shops around the US and plenty of people with deep pockets. Am I missing something?

ritter was 3000$ PLUS 4000$ TRYING TO FIX IT. there are so many cool thing about this block. just wish kent would get it together

2950 for the ritter. r3 is about the same. that is for the 48*.

kent is very old school . for years mopar paid for his racing for them to sink a ton of cash in a block for his comp cars was no big dill. but for your normal guy today we don't have those resources. and there has been some hitters try to build a motor using one of these and they scraped it.. kent dose not use the internet so has no idea what he has done by burning so many people with these blocks.sad story

I work at a dealer and got my R3 delivered for $2650 out the door. I looked at the Ritter block and it looked good on paper.... but I was swayed to go the R3 route despite it's possible issues.

That was a smart move.

After years in the machining trade I can almost visulize this block getting machined by someone who really didnt give a rip about the end result. Too many people out there who just knock holes and cut without a clue what they were doing. Slubheads making garbage then acting like everything will just work itself out on its own. Kent Ritter needs to stop all production on everything, recall every block he sold, and figure out his problems now. Then re-introduce it to the market. If not this whole block option will be gone shortly. Guaranteed.

And we wonder why people are putting LSX into mopars
