Can someone help me identify the maker and year of the 6 pack air filter that I purchased at swap meet about 15 years ago. I think it is a first generation Mopar. I have attached pictures and it has the vertical mesh screen on the inside and raised ridges on the hole on the outside, and 5 vertical punched holes. Pictures I have seen on the Internet also show the early air filters with indents/cutouts on the edges of the orange rubber top and bottom, this one has only dimples around the outside edge. There are no markings or identification/part numbers on the filter. Thanks for any help you can give. If you would like to see more pictures email me 426hemi@mts.net Brian

Could you make you picture smaller ???

How tall is that element ? your picture makes it look TALL ... if it is TALL it's not a production line part .

Just checked the dimensions, my filter outside measurements are 21.25x16.75x3". Checked the measurement of a Mopar replacement unit on line and it was 19.75x15.75x 2". So the one I have is larger. It came in a beat up Mopar box when I bought it and that Mopar logo on the box was used from 1972 to 1984. The trade mark under the logo was "Marca Reg" (trade mark), so it was made out of the US, probably Mexico because of Spanish. Maybe it was the original box, but what Mopar took a bigger air filter?

No that was bigger .

This is an aftermarket part as Bill says , it not installed on mopar production line built vehicles.

If it's in it's original mopar box then it was probably something sold by Direct Connection for Racing

I belive if it is a fairly "new" filter, Fram has copyrights on the orange rubber so I would assume them. Not positive though. Are there any numbers on it anywhere??

That's what makes it difficult to ID. There are no stamps or markings.

The 440 six pack air filter that I have measures 21.25 x 16.75 x 3 a full 1"wider and taller and 2" longer. Is this a race hemi air filter? Brian
