Got these ones out, I'm going to replace all the screws with new Philips style screws

I would highly recommend torx head, better grip with the driver, both in and out.

YES, or good quality Allens.
Phillips are worse than flat!

absolutely ! also, make sure you don't get the replacements a couple or so too long of thread length, as this will cause multiple problems with the glass/framework install.

So if you weld those flanges to the crossmember, will you still be able to remove it? How will it drop down with the bottom flanges on the frame rails? Curious minds want to know. Gene

Gene, cross member is only bolted to the frame rails, plus frame widens towards the rear so it can slide back to remove trans if needed

OK! Thanks. So much of the "newer" stuff has parallel frame rails, and I forget the older ones got wider at the center. It kind of goes with being under too many of these things over the years. Gene

Might want to just tack it together and verify it's removable before you commit. Better to verify that it works now than assume it does and find out later it don't.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.
