Was wondering if the pinstripe on 69 roadrunners is a decal or a painted pinstripe. If a decal, is there any source out there for them?

If your stripe is coded as 7X (black) or 7W (white) then it was done with a Beugler Tool. It has a little roller wheel that applies a thin line of paint and applied by hand.

On 69's would that pinstripe option be on the fender tag? I am pretty sure matte black hood paint would be on the fender tag but not sure about the pinstripe.

If the car was a '69 Lynch Road built Road Runner it could have 7X, 7W, 6X, 6W, 6R as possible stripe codes.
I'm not familiar with the St. Louis or Los Angeles built Road Runner codes.

I've been curious about this too. My RR has code V7W. So that's the white painted pinstripe? The Roadrunner/B Body restoration guide states V7W in 1969 was the white tape stripe and in 1968 was the painted pinstripe. I'm not doubting anyone, just want to be absolutely sure I'm using the correct stripe. I'll go with what you Moparts experts say.
Thanks.

For the Road Runner in 1969;

The V6W or R was the reflective tape Sport Stripe

V7B, F, R, W or X was the Accent (Pin) Stripe.

Thanks for the clarification. Looks like painted white pinstripes for my B5 blue 69 RR vert. Should look nice with the white top.

Thanks all... what a great site... with great members!
My rallye green roadrunner will be restored without the hood treatment and with the V7X painted black longitudinal stripe. Thanks for the info and insight!

Anyone ever seen V7B or V7F on a Road Runner?
