What are the pros and cons of a good air/water intercooler?? I have available a good marine intercooler and am trying to determine if it's worth it to try to use it in a vehicle.

I'm wondering if he is talking about a heat exchanger
that is used in salt water boats... but that has the
engine water on the one side and salt water on the other...
that wont move enough air

I talking about a Procharger unit. I believe it is a AW504. I can't find a lot of info but I assume you could plumb it into engine cooling system or a separate cool water tank. They use these with some pretty big superchargers so I doubt the air flow would be a problem. I know there are some who use the W/A systems in autos and it would appear that set up correctly it would be more efficient than an A/A system. Anyone have any experience????

Its different than the heat exchangers then... but
if they use it for a procharger in a boat then yes
you can use it in a car... if its fits(boats usually
run big stuff like that due to the space)... but I
sure would try it

Strictly race car use a/w intercooler and get a water tank with a rule water pump and pack it full of ice. Street car get a/a.

If you have one and it will not be a restriction then it will help make power.
If your on race gas it is more necessary then alcy.
