Mods, what do you think about this? As it appears with some recent threads here in the moparts general section, there are many of us who wish to source parts for our classic Mopar muscle cars and trucks that are in the least, made in North American and not over seas. In general terms, that includes the United States, Canada and Mexico. When left to the individual, finding such parts the first time can be a daunting and costly task. Could we start a sticky where we can pool our information as we find it? Perhaps it can look something like this. When we purchase a part, accessory or tool as it relates to the Mopar hobby, if that item appears to be made in North America, let’s post it in this thread as follows: Manufacturer Part Number The date of purchased Where purchased Where made Cost Quality (Poor/Good/Best) When available, a picture of country of origin labeling on item
Please keep derogatory remarks and politics out of this thread so it does not get locked.

Fortunately, there are tons of Mopar parts made in the USA (or North America). Personally, I have zero interest in having Asian parts on an American Muscle Car. I'll go out of my way, pay more, search for or wait for the best parts!

FEL-PRO Gaskets (cylinder head gaskets, intake/exhaust, etc) pretty much all of the Domestic engines, including all the hi-performance gaskets.
Fel-Pro... Skokie, IL (located immediately north of Chicago). I worked there for a long time (since 1976~1998 when they sold out to Federal-Mogul)... great company!

Today I was out of town on business and stopped by an O'Reilly's that had ES401R & L inner and outer tie rod ends on the shelf; both in Moog brand and MasterPro house brand. So I had the parts person bring both brands out to compare.
The Moog brand tie rods by Federal-Mogal said Made in U.S.A on the box.
The MasterPro tie rods said Made in China on the box.
They were not visibly manufactured the same.
I said thank you and ordered the Moogs from Rock Auto at half the price. We'll see what the Rock sends out...
