...and the age old question,six or eight vane for non-ac pulleys? What really cools better?

I know you can weld a plate on, but that requires a welder.

Milodon water pumps have a anti cavitation plate welded on them.

eight does. You might drop the pump off at a welding shop & just have them weld a round plate on the outside of the vanes (for a SB). I cut a round piece out of a washing machine panel with a saber saw then my welder did it in no time. Tell em to hold the edge of the piece flat against each of the 8 tines when they weld it 8 times & also cut a hole in the center & have him weld it there also. It'd be alot cheaper than an aftermarket one
