Ive seen some older threads discussing the 4.7 into older mopars but I have yet to see anyone actually do it. I have a 70 cuda that I am ready to start working on and Im still not set on an engine. Its been between a newer hemi or 5.9 but Ive given some thought to the 4.7. Id love to build a supercharged 4.7 hitting around the 500 horsepower mark and stuff it in the cuda. Ive seen a 600 horse 4.7 online so a 500 is possible. Anyways.. just curious if anyone has managed to do the 4.7 swap yet. Thanks.

I haven't, wife has a 4.7 in her Ram and I've looked it over as a possible swap candidate into my 65 Cuda, oil pan issues though. Not sure if anyone makes a center sump that'll fit a pass car for these engines. I suppose if I pay someone enough they will, but I'd be more likely to try to make an adapter plate to fit a B/RB pan on first.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

I've looked at the 4.7 swap. It's a good engine and I really like it.
However, there is little support in the aftermarket. You could swap in some HO cams and headers but that's it.

You're light years ahead by dropping in a 5.7 hemi and calling it a day. You'll end up being way ahead on power for the same fuel burned.

Why a 4.7? No support for the engine. Definitely not the way that I would even consider

Never, ever argue with an IDIOT. They will drag you to their level and then beat you with their years of experience

Google 4.7 engine problems and see just how good they are,of course that should also depend on the year, the pre 2001 ones had many failures.

Modern Hemi would make you much more happy.

who is that guy?
