I have noticed a shudder at lower speeds when the trans upshifts. I've also noticed it when coming to a stop. Seems to be under 20 mph. I'm also getting a whine when slowing down and it's kind of hard to tell, but it sounds like the transmission as well. Doesn't seem to be there over 30 mph or when accelerating moderately. Everything seems to be working and it shifts just fine otherwise. I don't remember any of my other 727's doing any of this. Any suggestions or thoughts?

I just went through this with a 2005 Magnum and when I read the fix for it I had a hard time believing it but poured in a bottle of friction modifier and it went away!
Not saying to try it or that it is the solution for you just wanted to share it

What was the friction modifier you used?

Same stuff you buy from mopar for a suregrip,I have never heard of anybody doing this before but my shudder went away within two miles, there is a whole thread on it at lx forums.

This was also in a nag1 not a 727,no idea if that matters or not.

Talking with a tech that worked for a Mopar dealership and he said it sounds like my torque converter is on it's last legs. It's a non-lockup trans and the shudder is very noticeable during low rpm upshifts and downshifts. The whine seems only while slowing and coming to a stop. Can anyone substantiate that statement? Any ideas?
