Disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect it and try driving it. You are in what is called limp mode. Po700 is a generic trans code. To get the real fault code you need to take it to a trans shop and have them read it. Most will do it for free.

Is the speedo working? If so you
more than likely you have a bad transmission control module. It is located on the left fender under the hood.. Disconnect the wire harness from the computer and check for corrosion. Water can get past the connector and damage computer.I have done a few of those.

There is alot of different trans problems that can cause the limp in which is second gear and reverse. Get it scanned to see just what the code is and then you diagnose that code. Once I scann them and get the code I like to see if its electrical or a mechanical problem or an internal trans problem. But its best to have it scanned and see just what code it set. Ron
