Frist ck all the grounds in the trunk. Then ck the engine harness, they have a habit of getting hot and the insolation will melt on the individual wires.

positive battery cable known to corrode at the battery terminal..give it a nice yank and see the power come back on

The grounds in the trunk are the easiest thing to ck, so start there. I left one of mine loose once, drove me crazy. Everything is controlled by a ground, and they terminate in the trunk were its nice and dry and controlled. At least on the 1st gen Neon. If they are good, then move up front. He's right about the battery cables, but since that is a newer car they should still be good. I didn't have to replace mine till around 440,000. They corrode between the individual strands and loose conductivity.

Second gen neons have lousy battery cable ends. I've seen way too many with fur growing around them. Not the same cables as first gen cars.

Didn't know that. When I replaced mine all they have is 2nd or 3rd gen cables now. Had to drill the holes out a little. Hope I don't start having problems, but they are still new.
