Have a speedometer cable out of a 75 318 4 speed duster. It has a couple of electrical wires on it. Any idea what its for? Did not have cruise on it.

It's an aftermarket addition. Not sure what it would be triggering, maybe a speed/rpm limiter, a governor or a max speed tattle tale

Found the same thing on a 75 Dart Sport slant 6 I parted several years ago. IIRC it was emissions related

My 72 had it, part of EGR setup.

On a '75 it's most likely the switch that turns on a "service engine" light at a certain number of miles.
