68 Sat OP mopar Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 683 Northern NJ	I'm about to travel 200 miles to Carlisle and my volt meter/gauge is bouncing between D and C. What does this mean and should I be concerned? It's a 1963 Chrysler 300 with a 383.. T Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 21,065 Niles , Ohio	Sounds like the voltage reg.The points style go bad easy.Get a new electronic replacement at most parts stores.Looks almost like OE and hooks up the same.They work great.Id have them check the battery and alt also.Rocky Chrysler Firepower

BDW master Joined: May 2005 Posts: 4,707 Florida	Similar thing happened to me, Turned out to be that the self tapping bolts holding the VR to the firewall had vibrated loose. I retightened and also added a ground strap to the engine, all is well now.
