Spares were body color if the car had body color wheels. All body color wheels were equipped with nut covers/dog dish style hub caps, this was standard. Optional full wheel cover equipped cars had wheels that were painted black regardless of body color. Chrome Road Wheel equipped cars had black spare wheels. So, all spare wheels, other than body color steel wheel cars, were gloss black (and of course black body paint cars had black spare wheels regardless of wheel cover style).
