Cleaning out garage to make way for Roadrunner on rotisserie. Came across this in a box of parts from my Shelby Dodge days. Does anyone recognize this? Is it a part from a 2.2, a special 2.2 adjustment tool, or a general purpose tool?
The bottom is flat, the hole is the root diameter of the threads, so nothing can come in from the bottom and thread into the inside threads.

Looks like an adjustable solid lifter "tool" for setting the cam timing.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

I'm going to guess, half of the tool to determine proper pushrod length.
I can't afford this.
