On my '85 Ram, the factory A/C cycle switch's sensor/probe is installed in it's own sheath built into the pressure line going from the compressor to the evaporator.
I want to install a new one but cannot get the probe out! I've soaked it 4 days with PB, pulled on it, clamped vice grips on it and tapped with a hammer....the lil' *ukka ain't moving.
Can I 5 minute epoxy the new cycle switch's probe to the metal part of the pressure line and wrap/insulate it with body dum-dum and expect it to work properly?
Your thoughts/opinions/advice, please.
