It was slammed right around the base of the main hoop on the passenger side. I haven't dared to go near him or his car...

Exactly what I thought. If its gonna happen, happen early in the pass. Those half track t-bones get real ugly, real fast. Sorry to see this happen to anybody. Good-luck on the rebuild and I hope both drivers are doing well.

Oh man that really sucks. What is the outcome of something like this, is the at fault driver supposed to pay/ help pay? or is there insurance for race cars? what is proper etiquette?

Thanks for the concern guys! If there is anything good about it, the impact was between both wheels and the original rocker panel absorbed most of the hit! Needs a new rocker and door jam, the door and quarter panel can be repaired. No chassis damage at all.....Muff (Adam) is a body man so look for it to be fixed and painted for Cecil in 2 weeks.

I am wondering the same thing as we did not hear anything from the other driver.....no apology or nothing. I know that if we were at fault, we would be compelled to help out w/ $$$$ to repair it...I guess that is just the way we were raised.

glad to hear its no big deal.

As for the other guy there is only is conscience. I can’t believe he didn’t even come over and say he was sorry. Who knows maybe he will do the right thing. Anybody post this on the bullet yet?

That is a relief! Strong car. You can borrow my M35a2 if you want to pay him back the favor, just saying...

Come-on guys you know the racing risks. Crap happens and you won't find many guys that will offer or afford to offer financial help. Most guys are on a shoe-string budget with their own racing program. The guy could have at least maned-up and come over to apologizes to the other driver. As of now there is very little on track insurance available as it was really abused and the insurers can not afford the hit. In the small tire class it only a matter of time before its your turn as these cars wreck weekly. Hate to say it but there it is.
Now if you know that someone is intoxicated or on drugs that's another story. That's were the courts may or may not get involved. No drug test no proof.

This one was at Engler's (north of Hazelton) last summer, probably still there along with at least two coupes. (Someone was cutting the roof off of a coupe when I was there.)

There might be one or two on "the wall" at Klinger's up in Pinegrove. I think a maroon 68 coupe actually fell over onto the other side.

You'd think Mopar Marty in Palmyra might have something.

This stuff is really drying up around here. There may still be one or two totally gutted out coupes at EZ Pull.

And what about Baughman's in York.
