My dad has a 98 he bought new in 99. He has cared for this truck like a child. It has 60K or less and has always been garaged. The other day his dash cracked over the glove box. I know these are available. Are they hard to change out, who makes a good one? Thanks

98 what? Jeep? Ram? Dakota/Durango?

I know on the Dakota/Durangos the dash "cap" is one giant dash cover that wraps around the sides and front too. it's "plastic welded" to the dash frame, and the only way to get it off is to pull the whole dash out. and at least the way the factory one is attached...it's not meant to be a servicable part, probably supposed to just swap the whole dash frame/assembly.
