No matter how I position the huge door mounted mirrors on my '85 Ram; there is always a blind spot somewhere.

Would one of those small, convex, stick on "spot" mirrors be worth it?

They actually do work, but you need to be sure to put them in the correct spot on the mirror.

I have always had the best luck with the lower outside corner for placement.

I ripped them off my crewcab do to being placed in upper corner. I prefer them in the bottom corner. They do help But remember there's always a blind spot. That's the whole reason to turn and Look with your head and not rely object just your mirrors

I have one on the passenger side of my truck. Seems to help when backing up with close clearances.

I can't live without spot mirrors, everyone should have them!

Yes they help a lot. Although I had them on my dually stuck on my factory "camper Mirrors" and it annoyed me. Like said above, they were always in the way no matter where I stuck them and were too small to be useful. imo.

So I took them off my dually years ago and just look over my shoulders to change lanes.

Now on a big truck they are mandatory since you can't look over your shoulder to change lanes.

I like the small wedge shaped ones best. They show the blind spot well without showing too much of the other lanes on a multi lane highway.

I lied, I still have one on the passenger side mirror on my dually. I took it off the drivers side because it bugged me.

I have them on my truck and DD. Lower outside edge. They definitely help. But to me, they are of little use at night, and can be misleading. Headlights in the spot mirror seem very far away when the car is really much closer.

They are very helpful for certain. I use them on the upper-outer part of the mirrors, great on the highway, but they are a little in the way during the backing into tight places, if down low and inside. To me anyway.

X2, every vehicle should have them on it.

Even got the girlfriend to use them , and that is saying something.

the blind spot mirrors work great. have them on both our daily drivers. i agree they should be standard equipment on new cars. i have seen a few newer ford models with them built into the mirror.

here is a new mustang mirror. its built in.. pretty good idea i think..
