I've got a 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 used for mud racing. Looking at adding a fuel cell. 5.9 gas truck. Looking for suggestions on a suitable fuel pump and regulator to use with the fuel cell. Any help would be appreciated.

Research i have done shows that the factory setup needs about 14psi to the injectors.

definite possibility, my only concern is if less than 14 psi will make a big difference.

for a 1997 with the OBD-II system
the fuel pressure at the injector rail should be
38 to 48 psi
At full throttle and 5200 rpm.

Idle should be 43.5 psi or better

My memory is fuzzy but i think the FSM says
the pump volume test calls for
2 liters per minute output.

the 1992 fuel system had
an external regulator and a
second return line,
but its fuel pressure was factory set at
35 psi plus or minus 5

I used a msd fi inline pump/ ls1 regulator with a return line, when i put a 97 5.9 in my 48. Works but is noisy. Ordered thru speedway motors $169.99.
