this is the 5 speed for my son piglets XJ 4x4 conversion.

I need some info and have some ?s with it.

does the xfer just unbolt from trans housing? any seals or gaskets needed in this area?

what 5 speed trans is this known as?

what xfer is this known as?

whats the deal on replacing the throw out bearing/hydro lines?

all ez or PITA to work with?

I would like to install the 5 speed, then bolt up the xfer. but if it is a hassle to remove the xfer, I guess we can lift it as a whole unit.

here is the new look piglet come home with. I dont get the no door thing myself.

I have done plenty of mudding here in FL in my day. doors are sure nice to keep mud off, skeeters out. nice to have some refuge from the wild now and then.

but it is his thing. I just got him hooked on the mud and spinning the tires

he just got the winch hooked up to pull his buddys 2x jeep out when playing.

Looks like cow patty's tires would get stuck on wet grass.

i just did a slave cylinder pressure plate setup for my next door neighbor. pretty straight forward, just disconnect the line(s) at the slave cylinder, and remove. it can be done with a screwdriver and a lot of patience, but the tool to do it, makes it much easier. if you do a new slave setup, a good one will include the tool to disconnect the lines.

dont remember the mounting of the xfer to the trans, but some have a gasket, some dont. if yours does, it needs to be sealed on both sides, with some permatex when installing. if one isnt there (presuming it's untouched before you open it) then it wont need a gasket to go back together.
