Trash all of it and go with the Lokar cable system. Its too easy and gets rid of all of that stuff.

Tough crowd. Good thing you're not asking about your dog...they would be telling you to take it out back and shoot it in the head.

Looks like all you need is the stud that bolts onto the carb linkage. I have the same setup on my truck and it runs fine.

I went with the setup from BPE. Not terribly impressed with the installation and it required a fair amount of modifications but it does appear to work (havnt had a chance to test drive the van yet).

I have a 2" spacer under my carb and trying to make the throttle and kick down linkage work properly was driving me nuts so I trashed it all and went to the Lokar setup...works great...didn't know how to answer the op's question so I went with the next best thing...

This works great
Takes out all the guess work & doesn't rely on hoping that you drilled the hole in the arm in the right place for the Lokar to work correctly
Uses parts that you can buy at Dodge or a parts store if the cable breaks

not to hijack this thread but....what type of replacement cable does that factory setup use? I have one for a Dodge van and the thing is about 6 feet long. I need to get this figured out so I can install my a518.

I would take the factory linkage over the crappy Lokar any day!

I have a Lokar cable in my swap meet bucket I took off my Ramcharger. Not able to locate a factory linkage I went with the BPE throttle plate and factory type cable for the 518 trans swap.

here it is on a tall rpm intake. I did riase the throttle cable clamp so the cable was level with the stud since this pic.(and they said stock linkage wont work on the RPM intake...)

stock 78-440 truck 3-piece linkage

just swaped a 3-piece set up over to the 85 318/727 replacing the 1 piece set up. it is off a mid 80s SB 4-v dippy. much more adjustability with the 3 piece.

if you need the tall intake bracket for the B-engine,AREngineering has them.

Check out AR Engineering, one of the sponsors for Moparts. Looks like they have nice stuff, and many options.

Dutch looked like a cute guy. Having a throttle bracket from a cruise control vehicle can help with the hi-rise intake.

I have the Bouchillon cable kit and it works great! Took maybe a little more than an hour to install without any help. Looked at the Lokar, but spent the extra money.

91 Dodge van is what I used when I built my 1st one from scratch
The Bouchillion kit uses the same cable it looks like
I compared them when I got my 1st Bouchillion
