I know I need the smaller diameter booster.
If I order one for a 78 with a 440, it will bolt on, right?
Just making sure. I have power brakes now on the 84.
Thanks in advance!

Just order a 3/4 ton one for your year truck. I've yet to see a 3/4ton with a big booster.

They also came on slant six shortbox 2wds. The 440 is the only bigblock that Has to have the small booster do to the deck height. 383/400 clear the big booster just fine

I used one from a 1 ton on my stepside (440 engine) and all I know is my truck stops on a dime with that booster and 11 x 2 1/2 rear drum brakes.

this way the brake pedel hooks up with the clip style brake rod.

the 78 booster will have the shoulder bolt hooking to the pedel.

you can also go to manual brakes for clearance at the VC on the 440,in case you want tall fabricated VC.

here is mine.
