That's what i was thinking as i remember years ago being told never run a different size of height tires even for a short distance on the rear axle.
Is that true for the fronts as well?? I know with hand locking hubs you could do that but what about these on the automatic locking hubs??

If you have an open rear diff it would sure give the spider gears some exercise but for a short distance at reduced speeds likely be OK. The clutches in a suregrip rear diff would be up in smoke in pretty short order IMHO.

I replaced the stock factory locking differntal with an Aurburn locking unit a few years ago. So i guess if i had to put on the spare it would only be on the front that i could do it, correct??
