a friend of mine recently bought a 97 ram 2500 2wd duelly 5.9 auto flat bed to haul trees for his tree farm. he wants to swap in a 5 speed. i told him we could get one out of the junkyard and swap it in. what will we need besides the trans/shifter, flywheel, clutch/pressure plate(will buy a new one), pedals, master cyl. slave cly. what wireing will i need? are the cross members/trans mounts the same? any other problems i will run into?

The auto trans is computer controlled. You may have an issue getting rid of the trans codes? Might have to get the computer flashed to a manual trans set up...
Driveshaft might be different??
