81 to 87 should be close. I have converted old electronic spark control harnesses to conventional mopar electronic. You end up with about 2/3rd's less wiring. If the bulkhead is good you can easily fix what you have. Also trucks are not lean burn.

lean burn the little box in the driver's side fender well?? that's what my 85 dodge w150 had.. the bulk head if good, I got some wire's messed up, an instead of going through the hassle i could just pick up a harness from the J/y

I've sat down with the factory shop manual & rethought my under hood wiring

Now my fuel pump & fans operate using factory Chrysler circuits

use a 83-85 harness and just by pass the elect dist/ecu with a points dist and pertronix points conversion.

82-95 are the best wireharness to work with and verything can stay put and look un-hacked.

the underhood will work for you

you can use the dash harness, but needs some patch work for the tail lights and fuel gauge hook up,seat belt buzzer,,dash back to bumper is slightly differnt on a RC over a truck.

but I have used them before no problems when patched up correctly.

here is the mess I fixed, removed all wires not needed under hood, tucked out of sight behind fender brace and inner fender.

I run a points dist with a points conversion,BR by-passed for full 12 volts to pertronix coil/conversion.

89 120amp external regulated denso mini alt with stock VR from the 85 harness

elect.fuel pump runs on the heater fuse with mech shut off switch.

not hard at all to fix one up and by-pass whats not used.
