Are these smaller rear view mirrors worth having?

Do they give you an adequate view of the traffic behind you?

They're for helping see the blind spot while driving down the road. If they are the stick on type, they come in big and small sizes, and can be a pain when backing a trailer in tight spaces etc. I usually stick the smaller ones in a corner of the regular mirrors.

The "classy Chev usa" top of the door mirrors.

My huge 6 X 9 factory door mounted trailer towing style mirrors are both cracked; need to replace them.

I am just wondering if these 4 inch round mirrors will be useful and safe to use in normal traffic?

Anyone have 'em on other vehicles??

I have the 4" peep mirror on my 88-440 truck.

I have the small billet/flame rearview mirror inside on the windsheild stock location.

it works for me in traffic, but may not be the best for towwing or backing up into a tight spot.

I got it from 'speedway motors' 2-4" for 14$ each and 30$ for the rearview.

they hang on the top door edge with set screws. I have one for the pass side but dont think I would use it myself, but the passenger will be able to peep out also.

I have the stock truck mirrors off the 88 truck if you want them. they are in nice shape and hanging in the shed waiting for a home.

I will post a pic later, they are the fold in type that look like chebby mirrors.IMO

when i had tow mirrors or any truck mirror, I would swing by a local glass shop and they would cut a new piece of glass and install it for 15-20 bux.

I drive a van allday so I know how to use and set mirrors. no need to see 1/2 of the van in the mirror. only the last 4" of the van and bumper, this makes the blind spot small and I only have to lean a little to see the blind spot.

most poeple have 1/2 or 3/4 of the mirror filled with the side of the car/truck/van and wonder why they cant back up with out hitting stuff.

I don't forsee any trailer towing; just normal driving.

I have to park this truck on a narrow, busy street, have to swing the mirror in when I park it, often forget to move it out again.

These 4 inch mirrors wouldn't be sticking out so far as to be moved in & out and adjusted all the time.

I have used the small hot rod mirrors on a lot of hot rods. They tend to work loose at the mounting location and bounce a lot, after they are about 6 months old. What you can see is very minimal much past the rear of the vehicle your driving. You see a color blurb coming up behind you and until it gets close, you can't really tell how fast or how close they are. Using them to back up sucks.

I'm not a big fan of small mirrors, I think you may have better rear vision with your broken large mirrors. Of course, your results may differ, just my Gene

I run them on my truck. It's kind of like looking through a key hole (lol) but they look so much better than the 3 legers I would never go back. As long as I can see what's beside me it's ok for me.

I didn't mount them on the top of the door because you couldn't see out the passenger side as well (and it look better mounted lower). The stock mirrors just look to big for my liking.
