I have been in the market for a 06-08 Ram 1500 Hemi 2wd. I have driven four of them now. Three 2008s and one 2007. Three of the four had right at 75000ish miles on them one of them had 56000. Two of the high mileage trucks had a kind of whine to them at idle. It sounded like it could be coming from the transmission area. Is this a common deal? If so what is it? Is it the trans fixing to take a dump or is just a "normal" sound.

The first truck I drove was kind rough and the noise fit the vehicle lol. The other one that made the noise was nice, seemed to be very well cared for, and it had the same whine to it. Thanks for any information.
