Fair enough! I spent Saturday underneath it after a trip to Summit. The flywheel/clutch/bellhousing/and transmission are all installed. I need to get the shifter mount off the old trans, install the tranny mount, and find the right speedo gear so I can hook up the speedometer. I replaced the brake hardware on the front brakes because the left top caliper retainer caught something (stick on weights??) and bent back over itself.
I had the front tires mounted and out them on. Those Center Lines look SWEET on the front!!
Tonight I'll try to get the 8.75 out from under it and get the brakes switched over to the Dana. The plan is to have it back on the ground(after I measure for a driveshaft) and get the engine back together and the the headers changed.
I've been working on it for about an hour or so every night it's not too cold to roll around on unheated concrete.

I took the week off. So I hope so. I need to find someone up northways that knows a good place to drop a truck and trailer. I don't think 5 people in a triple black car with no modern comforts will be too happy, so I'm going to try to trailer it up. Then drop the truck and trailer somewhere and spend Wednesday on (Donut Cutter, Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, and the Cruise) exploring Michigan in the Bee.

I happened to get a pretty good deal on 4 polished wheels with centers and lug nuts and two like new 275/60/15's.

If it weren't for the white top, I knew a car that looked just like that. Faux-Center Lines and all. He sold it to the owner of Texas Toy Box at the Mopar Nats many moons ago.

I'm in the home stretch now. Heads are on, headers are on, exhaust is on, clutch linkage is adjusted, brake lines are run, and now it's just reinstalling stuff to get it running.
I did, however, cause myself a lot more work. I put the driver's side header in and didn't add the starter. So now I either need to pull it back apart, (which will be extra sucky due to the exhaust being hooked up) or pull the steering column and slide it in that way. The steering column may be easier at this point. Sometimes it would pay to slow down and make sure I don't do things twice!!

I should be able to get it running tonight. I have gotten WAY off track with my build, as far as spending on it. I have all the vital components to hopefully put some miles (hard and otherwise)on it this summer. I am still going to work my way through the front suspension, steering, and start tidying up the engine bay and the interior. I'm thinking in a couple winters I will start doing some parts of the body. Stay tuned. I'll get some picture tonight.

I got it home and got the brakes bled yesterday. I got the column back in from my starter install. Tonight I will start rechecking everything and start little projects along the way.

With the gf's Ramcharger.

I was thinking I was going to hate those wheels but that looks pretty darn good. I bet you can't wait to throw a few shifts in it.

I have always liked them, but they actually look better than I expected. I'm very happy with the look and the stance.
I'm restraining myself until I've gotten to the break in mileage on the clutch and the gears, but yes, I'm looking forward to letting it loose. drive

Agree on the wheels D, looking great off the stands. And I love "drivers". Bang 'em hard drive
