Does anyone know where to get replacement fuel tank sending units for Dodge trucks from 1973-1979 ? How about fuel tanks as well ?

Thanks,
Rick

Junkyard.

Apparently the sending unit can be rebuilt. Depending on what's wrong with the tank it can be fixed

You might find a sending unit at a dealer if your VERY lucky.

They have been NS1 for several years, but if your dealer will do a nation wide search you may find one.

Also you may find one on eBay, they turn up from time to time. But you will pay dearly for it.

If you cant rebuild yours, or if its not just a bad ground (common problem) as a last resort you can add an aftermarket one to the tank, but it will require you to use a hole saw, and add a hole to the top of the tank. Be sure to order the ford/mopar style to get the closest to correct ohms for the factory gauge. 73-10 ohm.

For the tank, either a salvage yard, or local sale.

I have some in my watch list at $199-250 been there for 4 or 5 months now the guy who has them has a bunch of other NOS truck surplus with that Little Red in his ads for E body prices

Good luck Watch out for the RamCharger in the ads too that makes your Govt surplus part worth more though

In the frame, under the frame, along the frame. What The Frank is everybody talking about? I thought it was a saddle tank.
