Im looking for suggestions on how to and where to cut off 1/4's on a 1st gen Charger. My plan is to use a saws-all. Any other thoughts or ideas.

Drill the spot welds on the 1/4 skins

Save as much as you can. Patching in an area that you already had sorta sucks.
I'd drill out the welds at the top and chisel the panels apart at the pinch weld. Same goes for the rocker area and door jamb.

Is that the one your fixing or restoring? If that's a parts car, cut a few inches from the trunk gutter, through the trunk floor inside of the rail. Near the door, go into the rocker past the factory seam and match to the saw mark through the floor. Up top, take above the factory roof to 1/4 seam. Find it on yours first (seam is leaded up, it will be darker than steel when you sand it down) so you know where to cut. When you go to put it on your car, you will need to drill out all the spot welds as stated, take off all the left over trimmings and off she comes. If your having trouble separating the 1/4 from wheelhouse, add some heat from a butane torch from the inside wheewell. It lets that factory seam sealer go gooey and let the panel go without distorting or messing up the outer panel.

why are you cutting that off? looks decent to me. If you do cut it, do a nice clean job where the molding goes, then you can hide any wleds w/ the trim

Thanks for the ideas, this car was going to be cut up for scrap but this guy called me and asked if I wanted the 1/4s Passenger side was the best hardly any rust popping through. the drivers side was the worst. I got both and a tinted rear glass and some misc trim including the j trim on the quarters. I can remove all the spot welds and clean up all the edges now that there at the house

I can use side glass, a trunk lid/trim, and any window parts that might be available.

Most of that stuff was already gone. Some one had cut the structure inside of the 1/4's to get the rear window hardware and glass out.

Can you get the VIN and post it on the Charger registry?
Regards,
