Keith Black hypereutectic pistons for the 360 are $300 plus for a set of eight. For a long time these were less than $190. I was gonna recommend them in another "budget build" thread but after seeing the price I did not. I bought my set- .030 over new in 2004 for $160. Glad I did. (I make a little less money now as well) I dont want to see what a set of lightweight forged pistons are. I feel like saying: "Back in my day we built a car with $48 and a crescent wrench"

$48!!?? Then you'll probably never believe we use to pay $28 @ Western Auto for rings, bearings & gasket sets, for 283's back in the 60's!

You think that's bad, KB237's which are their cheap hyper 10:1 440 6pack style piston used to be under 300 bucks a set, now they're 500. Cheapie forged pistons can be had for not a hell of a lot more than that.

Just try and find a set of forged pistons for a 340 in ANY size now! At least there are Hyper's left you can buy.
