That is about what it costs to make a good dolly. Once you add in some profit and shipping costs you'll be up over $100.

Hey Randy
You stocking up on 440's?

Howdy,Brother Kevin! Looking to transport my engine to the dyno! I think I might just try to BORROW one...or rent,if need be! My budget is tight, and I can't see buying something for over $100.00...and use it once every 10 yrs. or so! I hope next year we ALL can run the cars at Norwalk!...got my fingers crossed! Take care,Big Brother!

I sold these. Stout piece and haven't had one complaint about strength from anyone that has bought one.

The problem is shipping because it's a dimensional weight deal unless it goes greyhound.

Randy, the only thing I can suggest is to build one out of wood, use 2x6's to make a box to rest on the pan rail and then attach some wheels to that. should keep you under budget.

Summit sells these for $100... I have one and although it's not as beefy as the other one pictured in this thread, it did the job. Make me an offer, only used once

Wow those things are $100 now.

Maybe I can start making mine again as those things and no offense, they are flimsy, and the pricing is what drove me out of the deal.

I have one from Andy F. for a big block and it works great and came with nice bolts for bolting it to the block. It breaks down pretty small for shipping or storage.

I've made several out of wood, some with wheels and some without for transporting the engines in the back of the truck so they won't roll around or tip over as easy Lots of ways to skin the kitty BTW, the metal wheels roll a lot better on concrete and asphalt than the rubber ones do

I use a furniture dolly with 2 2x4's across it and 2 4x4's for the oil pan rail to accomodate a deep pan.
