they came with 215/70/15 as J5440 mentioned.
From experience, I can tell you can run bigger for sure. I have 235/70/15 all the way around with no problem, and I know some have run larger in the rear at least, I just don't recall how large.
Facts are stubborn things.

I ran P255/60R15's in the back with the only issue being one side rubbed when the car had a lot of weight in it (like 5 offensive linesmen worth of weight).
Other than that, no problems. Never tried that big a tire in the front. 87 Diplomat.

I have 225/60/15's that need replacing and that size is hard to find in a good tire. I like the low profile sidewall. What would be the next size down in width from mine that is readily available in a dunlop, goodyear or other decent brand? Also,what is the smallest tire I can run safely on the front with a 15x7 wheel? Thanks.
