That pump may need a regulator. If you do not want to use a regulator, try the Carter Super Mechanical M6902. I just put one on my 340 a few weeks ago and it puts out 7psi and no need for a regulator with my carb. http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/cam6sumefupu.html

the 95 360 is a magnum engine correct?
are you going to run a LA pre-magnum t-cover to mount a mech FP?
remember to order a long nose roller cam to fit the FP eccentric on the cam.
or an adaptor for a short nose cam from Hughes.
Hey Scratch what's up?
I'm not sure what all of that means?

Did you run any type of pressure regulator? Anybody else using one?

What Mike is talking about is this: Stock Mag cam doesn't have the extension for the fuel pump eccentric Hughes sells a kit to put that eccentric on You can get aftermarket cams with or without the extension made on
This is all I know about the engine:

on a short nose cam it will have the t-gear and a different style washer/bolt. if it has the ecentric, you should see it in front of the t-gear looking into the fp hole. IIRC a magnum has a thinner t-cover and this is why a fp ecentric will not fit behind the mag cover. but by using a pre-magnum t-cover and the hughes fp adaptor you can run an ecentric on the short nose cam. if the roller cam pre-mag engine had a carb it had a long nose roller cam for fp ecentric. if it was TBI it had the short nose roller cam with no ecentric but still had room in the t-cover for it. pre-mag TBI t-cover got a fp block off plate. the pre-mag roller cams, short or long, will have the bearing journal drill for oil the rockers thru the heads. a magnum roller cam will not. and it can not be used in a pre-mag LA engine block. here is a pic of the short roller cam nose with a tape mearsure for referance. make note of the flat t-gear washer and bolt. this is different from the ecentric and its own washer/bolt.

do you have a part# for that cam?
I have a mopar catalog I can look the specs up.
yes you can see the ecentric in place thru the FP hole.
4 things I would want to know.
1)is it a long or short nose roller cam?
2) is it drilled to oil thru head to the shaft rockers?
3) are the roller lifters oil thru style with hollow PRs?
(they can use solid PRs also but good to know what you have.)
*** 4) did they drill the 95 block to oil thru the heads to the shaft mount rockers??
magnum blocks are not drilled for LA style oiling when running pre-mag heads.

Scratch,
As far as the oiling, I checked that last July:
https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...rue#Post6707768
You were actually helping me back then also. Here is the thread where I checked the oiling with by priming:
https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...rue#Post6810115
You also helped when he snapped that bolt off in the trans case.
Anyways I will have to try and find out if it is a long nose or short nose roller cam. I will email the builder and get back to you guys.
I appreciate the help, this has been going on for a long time. Its my brothers car and he has had it for about 9 years, he also just became a father. So with the busy schedule of being a new parent and then all of my stuff I have going on, we are wayyyy behind schedule.
Thanks to all, I appreciate the help

i think bolt a fuel pump on and good to go.
that is INDEED the fuel pump ecentric.
if the arm on the FP wants to hold you up on the bolt aline ment, rotate the engine and roll the ecentric to the far side and pressure of the pump stroke.
Sweet!!!!!! So I am assuming that the eccentric is lobed? How else would it move the pump arm?
