The '67-'69 Z-28s & '67-'68 Shelbys used various E70-15s.

from kelseytire.com

E70/15 – Speedway Wide Tread RWL

Specifically designed and only fitted to the 1968 and 1969 Z28 Camaro. Goodyear answered the call from GM to develop the appropriate tire for this high performance platform. Talk about a Z-handler, this Goodyear Speedway Wide Tread GT did the job.

Here's the "norm" for '68-'69 Z-28 * non-fiberglass belted.

The 67's used a 7.75X15 Redline

So, NO 70 series tires on 'Vettes in '67 ..... even L88s?

my 70' the sticker says Firestone wide ovals

It's a copy of the original sticker & names "FIRESTONE" on it? Does it list anything as far as size or construction? & are those the STANDARD or OPTIONAL tires? Can you post or email a pic?

They fit lots of cars,
..... but were factory installed on none of them.

I don't remember... but what did the Hurst/300s use? Didn't they have a lettered tire?

Dug out my '70 parts book ( to look up a speedo pinion for my mj) and found the largest tire listed (60 series) is F60, and H70 both 15" .
I don't know what I was thinking above, I think I overlooked 60 SERIES!
Was looking for 31 tooth green, and that is what was listed for the H70, thought of this post...

The 1978 Little Red Express trucks had G-60-15 tires in front and L-60-15 tires in the rear. They were Good Year Polyglass Radial GT tires. The wheels were 7 inch stamped steel chrome slotted in the front, and 8 inch in the rear.

..... but they were Goodyear GT Radial - NO "polyglas" (polyester/fiberglass) they were actually a polyester/aramid fiber ply that goodyear called "FLEXTEN".

I ordered a new Charger in 1973 with the Rallye and handling package. It came from the factory with G60-15 Goodyear Polyglas tires.

They are a great "day two" tire & work well on the '71-'74 b-bodies with 8" wheels. They just do not command the $$ that OE sized tires do. What's the DOT number? (got pic?) The pair I have are from '73.

here is a pic of the DOT number if that helps.
