How far should I drive the cam plug in? I have what I would consider a deeper plug. Should I use any sealer on it?

What are you guys using for sealer on the rest of the core plugs?

All the way until it bottems out in the hole and then seat it with a hammer. Not made like a core plug, any kind of sealer or silicone can be used on the core plugs. Or none at all.

I don't use any on the cam plug. The cam plug is a concave plug, right?

I use Permatex avation sealer on my core plugs. It's the liquid small bottle with a brush in the cap.

I use a thread sealer and install it all the way in, be careful what you use to drive it in with I use to use a socket that fit inside the cup and ended up cracking one or more of them

A Mopar crank bolt washer welded on a pipe is the perfect cam plug driver for a BB Mopar--drive it all the way in--you can even use two if you want to make sure and keep that clutch dry--I have always used Permatex #2 on freeze plugs, but usually use ultra black or ultra grey on the cam plug--they are the most oil resistant of the RTV family by far--you can even JB Weld the cam plug for that extra touch ( this step reserved for those who actually had one leak in the past)

I use five minute epoxy on mine now All the way around the edges and in the center, just to make sure there are no leaks
