I'm with you, but the owner doesn't want any issues with rubbing and prefers the 70's look. It's been tough enough just to convince him to have it sitting this low!! So it's narrower tires.

How are things coming along with this build?? I have a new "drive" for mine to get started on. I talked it over with my wife this past weekend and she is on board {for the most part} with me on the idea of going about doing my Barracuda in this way.. Thanks for posting the pics and steps along the way.. They helped me out soooo much in convincing her..She is still reluctant and would prefer me having the $$$$ if I sold it now, but I told her IF I did, I WILL get another and it would be a driver that would cost more than she'd want me to spend..

Useless info. Just changed spools on the MIG. Put this on after I started the RR. I use a 30lbs. spool of .035 wire. Unwound that is 1.72 miles long. I have roughly 75 ft of welds in this car using almost 1-3/4 miles of welding wire. Ask me again why this is taking so long….

He knew from the beginning it would be something that we had never done and was told it would be worked on when I could. Price was accordingly. If you dropped this off and wanted it done in 3 months, expect to pay 60-80K plus. He was okay with when I could get to it!

I too can't wait for more posts.. I've been pricing auction Chargers so I know whats in store.. Quick question.. here in NY, I was told, that if I buy a salvageable auction car, which isn't a problem as my uncle is a used car dealer, the state does a follow up on what happens with the car during a rebuild and follows up on the after salvage inspection. Do you have any issues with that being in FL? I guess they want to make sure where the vin coded parts end up.ie;body,engine,trans etc etc.

I hear ya. A friend of mine always says "a grinder and paint makes a welder what he ain't".. Then I showed him this project and your Cuda..He then said "I stand corrected"..
