As soon as I put the vb back in with the new sensors and the new shift kit, the trans temp light would stay on after starting and then go out and it would start throwing a P0711 trans temp related code. Trans go said that the kit wouldn't cause that but a faulty sensor would - the sensors are all new on it. The bands were adjusted at the same time to factory specs.

I just ran into this same thing here a week ago, we ended up having a bad sensor, brand new out of the box. It can happen, also check the connector and harness, make sure no pins are laid over or loose.

Didn't find anything on first inspection - I got all the sensors from electrical advantage (they sell on ebay and online) and are high rated.
The other unit I have for it looks real nice and may have been rebuilt at the dealer as it has the updated dealer pan gasket but I can't tell if the converter was replaced. It's a chrysler converter with the 9565 tag on it. I may get a Recon to be safe. I will also ask electrical advantage what their warranty/return policy is on sensors!
