My search function is not working properly and I know this has been talked about numerous times, but which mini type starter either from Dakota or Ram will fit a 318? Thanks

The starter I put on my 96 Ram window licker/Mormon war wagon van had the 2 studs on it for the power and control wire. The 2 studs will save you a bunch of trouble trying to find a plug to connect the control wire.

I had to clip and splice a plug for the JY mini i got from a 97-98 ram 1500(IIRC) on to my 85 truck.

I get them over the counter for a 92-93 5.2 Dak and remove the extetion piece, hook wire right to 2 studs.

I think the last time I asked for 90 dakota and the they said it used the same starter V6 or V8?

Any RWD V6/V8 mini starter will work.. As said on 1 of them the starter relay wire is a plug in, not a bolt on....

I am truckless..

I used one off a 95 Ram (or at least that is what I asked for at the JY, and what they pulled off the shelf) and it works perfect.

The only thing I had to do was bend the tab on the end of the batery cable a bit.
