So I am going to model this after my brothers thread on the project 71 challenger he's working on so here it is!

The Project: 68 Charger 4 speed, not sure on the motor yet

The Crew: Myself (David Sigel) my brother Stephen aka my mentor, my dad and a few friends that show up to help, and of course lots of beer

Basic info: Restore the car back to road worthy condition, make it a car that is driven and not a trailer queen. I want to make it a semi pro touring car, modern brakes, lower then factory and 17's or 18's all around

Paint: Its a long time away but I've been thinking of a few ideas, the first idea I'm thinking is to pay homage to Curtiss P-40 warhawk (im an aviation geek) with the flat green and shark painted on the side. Or silver with blue bumble bee stripes, when more of the metal work is done I'll decide

so without further ado here are the pictures, let me know what you think!

Dave

Awesome! I would love to have a 68 Dodge Charger project and I would pretty much do it exactly how you are doing it. I like the war hawk idea. It will definitely be pretty cool and stand out.

Looks like you're well on your way, and the car looks pretty decent to start with. The pic with the puppy dog is great.

Am I seeing things, or is that an automatic floor pan replacing a 4 speed floor?

Alright,

its been a little bit since I posted last but got some work done on the car.

I think it needed some more bondo

leave the hitch on or off? haha

underside welded in

looking foward

now looking back

rear end is out!

look ma, no rear!

me and the hack job that came off the quarter

I'll miss this piece so much

So as far as work completed:
Rear End is out
Floor is welded in
rear pans fitted, not welded in yet
passenger side lower door hinge welded in

I'll have some more pictures this week, its coming along slowly but surely

Dave
