I don't know about anyone else but I wouldn't have fiddled with it untill I made a pass or two with the tune Monte gave him at the beginning of the week.

Makes no sense to change it from where it was till you see what it does at the new track.

Probably killing him to have all this NOS sitting ther unused, I can see him going crazy wanting to throw more at it.................

60' may be when the 2nd stage comes in and a solinoid was stuck.

I talked to a few people that was at Memphis and as of 12:30 they had not seen the purple Duster.

What time did he get there?

I'm glad Elvis is still leading in his class.

What's up with the smallblock class? The NA cars are quicker than the power adders?

Beats Me?

Doesn't look like fun though..

Notice the lifters by the radiator??

Maybe this is why Ray hasn't been posting..

It seems to me on eddies 440-1 motor he made about 800hp and sprayed 700hp,,,,,,, now hes making almost 1200hp an spraying less in to pick up a couple tenths??? i dont get it??? wiht properly setup chassis and more spray i think he could beat any of the cars...

SB/PA doesnt have any of the hitters from last year.Last years winner Ev Bernado ran as quick as 8.36 during DW.After DW he went 7.97.Second place last year ran 8.60s.Just a fluke this year maybe?

Well he said he was spraying 700, how much hp did all that spray really add is the question, a far cry from 700hp I'll bet.

A properly setup chassis is the key here, that Nova's a full chassis car I believe, it's gotta work better than Eddies "street car"

yeah, it has way less nitrous on it and yeah it will go much faster....but...the first pass at BG was the first time this motor had EVER been down the track on 2 kits. Some may go out and go balls to the wall right off the bat and spray the snot out of it with both kits, but that is not my style. It is Eddie's car and he can do as he pleases, but if the plan calls for just "pilling it up and hoping for the best" with no testing, I'm out. Want no part of anything like that. Eddie is leading his class by a bunch, Larson has more if needed, trust me. Larry is playing to win, if Eddie throws down a number, you can bet Larry will respond. The 7.75 he went at BG was with only 15lbs of boost.

Monte is right. Larry and Eddie should know that to win you must survive the trip. This years carnage has been unreal.Alot of veterans have had problems.Im sure after their first passes tomorrow Larry and Eddie will go all out.BG is the best track they have been down this year.

Hello Monte,

Is Eddie keeping it down due to the hurt valve train? What do you make of the explosion near the 60' mark that appears to be nitrous related? Any other insight?

thanks

Damon

I have no idea, have not talked to Eddie, nor do I have an idea what he is doing with the tune, or what issues he is having with the motor. I do know that Larry plans to make a moderate pass to seal the win and then turn the wick up. I would not be surprised at all to see a 6 sec blast.

I hope he does it, I'd love to see that Nova run a 6
