GREAT job and effort you guys .
Full respect to you Eddie . We were all rooting for ya .
Get some sleep---i have a feeling within the next 3 weeks you are going to go rip up some florida track with a 7.79.
were about to leave kentucky. nice to know i have a 8 hour ride after our 13 to florida.
7.70s are in Eddie's future for sure but he will need to see how much damage cam lobes and lifters floating around in the oil for 700 miles has done.
i give Eddie credit, he knew he was going to destroy his engine just to finish the week and get a jacket.and during his speech he said that i was going to get the jacket.
looking foward to getting home, downloading the pics and letting everyone know what he went thru just to make it. i dont think the 2008 story will be funny like the 06 story was.
you guys feel free to stop by if you need to rest great job

i got to spend saturday in bowling green .i got there friday night to see all my dragweek buddies from years before..when i saw Ray and Eddie at 10.30 sat. they both were literaly shells of the men they started out the week as. they both looked like zombies, dragweek is definately a feat of attrition. and until you actually experience it,you will never know..and after hearing the stories of what they went through from all the other competitors,, it actually amazing they are both alive. the aussies said Eddie was literally sleeping behind the wheel ,until they made him pull over. he could have thrown in the towel many times. but didnt you may not like Eddie, but the man has BALLS. he does what he says, and he says what he means. so love him or hate him , or love to hate him...you should atleast respect his accomplishments... Ed,Ray...GOOD JOB Dustin

Congrats to Eddie and Ray. Nice to meet both of you. Ray I was the guy with the white Mopar hat and Indy Cylinder Head shirt that talked to you in Memphis. Glad to see you guys make it all the way. Looked to me like there was little or no nitrous on that 11 sec pass.

You are allowed multiple passes. The fastest pass of the day goes towards the average. Not sure what Eddie's strategy was, but I know he & ray were battling Gremlins from day 3, not to mention trying to dial in a new combo & nitrous tune.
