what does this yellow wire go to under the dash at the steering column? it is a round male/female connector. it was unplugged when i got the car and wonder what it goes to.

yes the light is on, does it ever go off? or is this why it was unplugged, car was sitting for 22 years before i got it. It is not very bright but it is there

It will be on with the door open or for typically 30-45 seconds after the door is closed...It it stays on the delay timer has failed in the on position...The delay timer is plugged into the wiring near the yellow wire, fact is the yellow wire is one of the three wires going to the timer....It is a cylinder about 1.25" long by .75 around....They are still avalible from the dealer or half the mopars at the JY will have one...

yes the delay timer is there, i wondered what that was as well. i will check to see if the light goes out after a minute or so.
