I have been trying to find the hood D O D G E letters for a 70 challenger. . So far the ones i have found are for 73-74. They are not the same ? Anyone know where to find these letters . I don't need NOS $$$ ones. just a nice repo

I got mine from Herb's Parts. They fit the original holes in the hood perfectly. Mines a 73. I don't know if 1970's were different or not.

Somewhere I read that the hood letters on the 66 & 67 Coronets where the same as the early Challengers. Then it depends on who you talk to they are the same up to 74.

They are the same, as are the ones from 72-74 Dodge station wagon tailgates...

So if i buy the ones aaembles sells for the 73 - 74 challenger they will look fine on a 70 challenger ?

Make sure you are buying the HOOD letters and not the rear letters.

The repro 'G' is not as strong as the original. So when you tighten the nut on the back (if it's a 70; later models just had the plastic keeper) it can distort the top. Just be careful.

My 73 doesn't use a plastic keeper...it uses a nut. The rear letters use plastic keepers though.
