5126brl No more OP top fuel Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,946 Connecticut	I am trying to see what rpm you are going thru the traps at and with what Gears and tire size. I am trying to get some more rpm at the top end and do not want to swap out my 4.10's right now I'm at 5400 with 29" street tires. And when i compare to my friends with autos I see alot of convertor slip.

I run 3.54 gears,28" slick,6600 RPM,125.6 MPH Now when I was running a 4-gear I ran 4.56 gears and would trap at just over 6300 with 28"slicks. 5126brl No more OP top fuel Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,946 Connecticut	Can i ask what rpm you leave and shift at, what trans , ? On that day I was running M/T street pros and was leaving at 3000 rpm . Was a fine line to walk to get them to hook. Any higher and they spun. 29x15.50 Street pros. I am looking into a set of Slicks 26x12.5 to try and get the rpm up and get into second before the 60 ft lights. Trans is a Hemi box that has pro shifted 2nd, faceplated 3-4 and a Ram adjustable clutch with a organic disc. Set at 2700# now any lower and it just powers thru the clutch. At 3800 lbs and 590 hp I think I should get down to 11.20's at 122 or so. Old setup would 11.0's at 123 mph with 13x31 and 5.13's and 3400 lbs. Last edited by 4406brl; 12/18/11 03:20 PM.
