Not for nothing Alan, but might I make a suggestion. In my opinion, you wont get the cam your combo really needs by calling Comp Cams. Why would you do that when you have Scott doing the porting, and who will know better than him what the heads need? You can get 2,000 recomendations for a cam, but the guy who has done the heads should be more than capable of suggesting a cam for his work. You'd stand a better chance of staying married to a Kardashian for more than 32 days, than you would of getting thru to Comp Cams techline and getting a good suggestion for that combo...
Scott will know the score. If you're not going to pushrod oil, I wouldn't upgrade the rockers. I know I'll get a lot of flack here but, I have had good luck with Koffel rockers with the torington bearing system that Tom Hemphill sells. You also shouldn't need the 400lb seat pressure mentioned here, more like 280lb and 800 compressed. When you step up to the 380-400lb seat pressure springs, you'll need them for sure but starting out, I don't think it's that neccasary. Just my opinion, but I'm on my 5th B1 build and never used that kind of spring pressure until the Predator build, I even used the K1000H springs at 230#'s for several years with no issues. Paired rockers are great but pushrod oiling is the only way to go IMO. I know people that have the spray bar oiling, but I know more people that had them fail than the Koffel rockers. They just have their limits.

Good luck with the build and congrats on taking the B1 plunge. Good advice here for sure. As for HP well if you dont make 800hp you are doing something wrong!

how much difference is there in power between the B1 Original and the mc head ??
I'm going to guess around 50-75 from the people I know that have had both. I'll know more when I'm through with the ones I just bought. Porting, compression, and camshaft selection are key.
