rarefish OP top fuel Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 2,252 New York	What is the purpose of the zinc inner leafs installed between the springs? Can you still buy them? Supercuda About to go away Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 14,889 up yours	it's a sliding point and is designed to reduce inner spring friction. back in the day leafs used to have sheet metal covers full of grease that you had to disassemble, clean and re-grease every so often. The zinc did away with that mess They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.
