Yes the die cast piece that goes on the back of the trunk lid looks to be low on the drivers side. The lid looks to be good from what I can see.

The good news is every line on the left side is off so it probably can be adjusted out... But it's also possible the car wasn't square when the quarters were hung... Hard to say from the pictures provided, might get lucky & discover the rubber bumper missing on the left edge of the trunk... Or not.. If you can bring a bodyman...

That picture is almost what my 68's trunk looked like when I first put it on. I tried to adjust it from the hinges themselves, but no way.So......A "little" tweeking (twisting) of the trunk and it was 50% better. Then I loosened off the left quarter extension and moved it slightly and retightened it....another 50% 0f the 50% better. Moved the tailamp assy a little bit and it now is perfect.
If you look at that trunk in the picture, you'll see it is also up a bit on the right.
It'll align.

Oh...by the way....there appears to be no stainless trim around the woodgrain on the door panels or is it just the picture??. Should be....

Move the striker on the trunk opening lower panel. That will make the lid go over.

That means the lid is off set till the latch pulls it... Personally I would put a couple pieces of tape for reference then pull the striker of.... Now with the trunk wide open physically shove it the direction it needs to move... What your doing is putting a tweak to the hinges... You have to put some force into it but the trunk will move... I like to get all panels to fit the opening without the latch/striker pulling it around so all the latch does is keep the door/trunk/hood shut... When you bolt the striker back on obviously it will need to be shifted to follow the trunk..

Mine was worst than yours, I like mention adjusted the latch, striker and you may have to loosing 4 lid holding bolts to get keep it align as it will get thrown off once you make ajustments. In any case its hard to find one that is perfect, as they was not much quality control in 1968..lol!!
