I am tryin to get a tunnel ram(weind 5987) to fit on a set of victor heads that have been ported to max wedge size. The problem is that the intake runners on the heads are both sticking above the runners on the intake, not by a lot but the are .looked on the edlebrock site and the say you have to use the super victor intake? Anyone know if you can use a spacer to correct this and if you have what thickness. Im doin this to run an enderly bird catcher, alky fuel injection. Help?

if you made a spacer you would need a low deck intake.

my weiand is welded up to fit a MW port

You need a Max Wedge intake manifold.

I guess I don't understand. Floor and sides aline but top is off, Not enough matieral to match top? Put in second gasget and port to match. Never worry about head to small to match intake. Worry about intake to small to head.

How much welding did you do. i just mocked mine up and it look like its gonna need about a 1/4 inch built up around the runners. Also how complicated was it and did you go ahead and open the intake up to the max Wedge size.

if you got a weiand base for a 383/400, you could use stage VI head intake spacers and port match the spacer.

i got lucky and found a welded up intake on here for sale. it would probably cost an easy $300 to have it welded

The floor and the sides line up, but do the bolt holes? I start with getting the bolt holes to line up and then make the ports match by whatever means I'm forced to do.
